A donation for creative music
Founded in 2011 in Montreal, Projections libérantes is a creative music company whose mandate is to produce the creations of its artistic director Simon Martin. Through his creations, Simon Martin seeks to share his fascination for sound, a material that is both intangible and powerfully evocative. The balance between sound phenomenon and dramatic structure characterizes his unique artistic signature and the works presented by Projections libérantes.

2023 Campaign
It’s with great excitement that we launch our second annual fundraising campaign to bring to fruition a project close to our hearts. The “Let’s Strike a Chord” campaign invites you to participate directly in the continuation of our Just Intonation guitar project!
In phase 1 of this project, we replaced the fretboard of a conventional guitar by attaching a new fretboard in natural harmony. Phase 2 is even more ambitious: we want to adapt a conventional guitar so that different fretboards can slide onto the neck, enabling several fretboard models to be interchanged on the same instrument, multiplying the possibilities for musical exploration.
Here’s where you come in: as part of the “Let’s Strike a Chord” campaign, it’s up to you to choose the first slide fretboard we’re going to make! We’ve carefully selected three different models, each with its own unique sound. Your contribution entitles you to a vote for the fretboard of your choice. The winning fretboard will be built following the campaign, and musical sketches performed with it will be revealed. It’s up to you to choose between the rational, the dreamy and the rebellious fretboard!

2022 Campaign
Projections libérantes launches its first fundraising campaign!
From now until December 22, take part in the campaign and contribute to the creation of Quebec concert music.
For over 10 years, Projections libérantes has distinguished itself in this field by the originality of its creations, “strong, independent, unique proposals[1]” performed by exceptionally talented local musicians.
Our goal for this first campaign is to raise $1,000. This amount will be directly invested in Projections libérantes’ next creation, Musique d’art (2023)!
Beyond its financial objective, we want this campaign to be an opportunity to bring together a community of inspired people, for whom creativity represents a fundamental human dimension.
Does this vision resonate with you?
